Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July!   Today was an excellent day, thanks to TLCs What Not to Wear marathon, cloudy but not rainy weather, and fireworks on television.  Unfortunately, this also meant hauling our butts over to my favorite aunt's house for a turkey dinner.  In July.  Now, there is nothing wrong with this, because I like turkey and cranberry sauce.  It reminds me a lot of eating pancakes for dinner.  It's so wrong, but yet so right.  I didn't get to see fireworks, besides on NBC for the amazing Macy's celebration.  I can't imagine what kind of time and work goes into planning that show.  Even though I saw them on TV, nothing can compare to the awe when seeing them in person.  The loud booms always scare me, but the colors always astound.
